I am noticing you have a wicked streak Lambert! LOL tsk tsk

The main problem is I put up some screening to block the afternoon sun for the orchids on the ground. I used burlap with small bamboo poles and it did the job....it's just in the way and you have to avoid bumping it on the way in. Just about every inch of available space has an orchid sitting or hanging from it.

I am just joking, really! Deep down inside I am jealous and wish I had a patio to grow plenty of orchids. Whatever system you figured out is working because your plants always look incredible. See! I can be nice too ... HAHAHA

Eventually you should take a picture of your grow area and post it,
    Alright Lambe!

I am going to show you pics of where all my orchids are hanging out, but will post them over in the "Members Grow Area" section. Just don't laugh at their cramped quarters..it's not much of a porch.

I ordered two more plants btw...Dendrobium unicum and Dinema (Enc.) polybulbon. The Den. is in bud so hopefully I will have some pics soon. The grower says it smells like crayola crayons!??!

Great collection! (how did I miss it?) How long does it take you to water them?

Thanks! Glad you got to see it!

It depends on what I am doing that day. If I am doing my thorough weekend watering with fertilizer it can take 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. I have to take them all out of the porch, line them up like little soldiers, and water each one then spray fertilizer. The rest of the week I mist the hanging ones at least every other day with either a hand mister or the one on my hose. I also now have a single mister I play around with that is kinda fun.

This past weekend it was so warm I ended up watering myself more than the orchids to stay cool!

What an amazing collection - and how long it must've taken you to bring all these out and photograph them!!! Thank you for all your hard work, I enjoyed seeing them!

That one with the 8 spikes is going to be glorious, can't wait to see it in action!!
