First time deflasking Phal

They look great!

Over time they can fall subject to fungus or rot. I'd suggest a periodic spray of a dilute fungicide.

It is always a good idea to deflask in a mixture that includes a dilute fungicide and remember to spray every so often to keep them safe.

Is fungicide really necessary>?? and if so what kind?
Does one need to wash the flasking material off the roots too,
or can that be potted up in a community pot? I may have left some of the agar on the roots when i recently potted up a flask. should i soak them some more and get the agar off the roots?

I usually get most of the agar off, but a bit won't hurt. As far as a fungicide, I like PHysan because it also kills bacteria and algae. I use a dilute solution and it seems to work well--used it on quite a few phal babies out of flask now without any problems.

wow hopefully they'll grow and produce fountains of flowers for you. does anybody here
knows how long an orchid will take to bloom after deflasking?
