    Default Any ID'ea?

Maybe someone knows what this could be?
I know, I know.... Almost impossible... But have still little hope.

Looks a bit like Phal Baldan's Kaleidoscope but I think it's not.

My neighbor got Kaleidoscope for Mother's day. What a beautiful orchid! Yours sure looks that. Great color and markings whatever it turns out to be.

Comparing your photo with the Kal. I have in bloom right now I would say that it is a Kal. Beautiful blossoms and very long lasting!

Don't you just love people who have to put in their 2c-worth....sorry don't want to sound redundant, but it sure looks like BK...just for sort of a comparison, which can make ID soooo very hard, as you already have said, is a pic of another yellow phal.... one of my wanna-be's. The other thing that I see in the pics posted above is the color difference...sure just a photo factor maybe but also note BD's photo is more uniform in color at the center while yours has little dots....variation....variation .... makes life a joy to behold!

Something else about Baldan's Kal. is that as it ages it changes color.
It lightens and the dark stripes become more muted and blend in with the background more.
So some of the difference in pictures is when was the photo taken. Shortly after the blossom opened or a month or two later. Doc's beautiful picture shows three shades on the same plant..........!!!
Here is a pic of Baldan's Kal. that shows a difference in color with two blossoms on the same plant. The lower blossom is about two weeks older that the top. Fading is already showing on the bottom blossom, while the top blossom's color is crisp and bright.
And..........we're not taking into consideration the different quality of pictures obtained from the camera's involved, the lighting, and angle of the shot let alone the huge difference in monitor displays.........
Now, just to cover myself Nekletka, the lip on your plant does look different that the BK..........so I'm not positive!

Hi Doc!!! That Sogo Fireworks is something to die for! I want it!!! Now!!! I need it!!! I deserve it!!!! LOL

Please view picture at "full size" to see it as it was meant to be seen. (It has won two first place awards)

Here, Here, Al.... thanks. I don't know that I'd go as far as to say I'd "die for" the Sogo...while it is nice and somewhat different than BK with its muted colors, I like you alive and well .... and yes, I would agree, you do deserve one....see what I can do...H

    I like Fireworks also! Fantastic!!!
I will see if I can get one here in EU.

    @PAL
    Thank you Al!
I didn't know BK color intensity fades with time,
but what about Lip - on my picture it looks totally different,
but I think it still could be Kal. or similar cross...

Something else, and maybe other could weigh in on this, is that like other phal, B K has been hybridized so much that there might be some clonal differences....just a thought...did I day that i had a thouth...how silly of me, right Al! P.S. I was looking around the house and saw this B. K. that I have on display...totally forgot about it but anyway, this looks almost exactly like yours, Nek
