    Thumbs up Dendrobium unicum!

Okay, it finally opened up last night. When I took the pictures I gave the flower a little sniff and there was a very faint 'Crayola Crayon' smell that I hope becomes more potent as the bloom ages!

    The plant:

Gorgeous flower! And still quite some buds to open.
I am curious to see them all together...
    Well done!

This calls for an updated pic when all the buds are open.

Very nice Shann...Are you able to describe the fragrance of your? I will let you know what I think it smells like after you decide.

Mine bloomed in late March or early April but I see one more bud on mine.

Mine smells bad, it has the worst smell among my fragrant orchids.

It is very faint...I hope it will become more prominent as it ages. I would say it’s almost like a tangy or spicy crayon/wax smell.

okay...it was not just me then...I too thought it smelled like a sharpened crayon and I thought there was a sweet citrus undertone.
