Since I always shot with Minolta Maxxums, I made the decision to stick with them when I went digital, especially since they were going out of the camera business, and I got a great price on my 7D. Unfortunately, I really hate that camera, and would love to make the switch to Canon (40D would be lovely), but can't afford it right now, especially after having invested almost $1000 in a Bigma lens (50 - 500mm which doesn't work correctly either). Story of my life I guess. Thank goodness for my 50mm macro lens.

Anyhow, I did get these while visiting the AOS recently:

Anne, those are lovely photos. I really like the shot of the bird. If you have more, please post them in the Eye Candy Forum for all to see. There are lots of animal lovers here too.

    Cheers,
    BD

After reading the entire post I have come to the conclusion that I know nothing about photography. I have taken some nice pictures with my camera, a Panasonic DMC-FZ20, the best I could afford. Here are some examples

I use two an olympus 500 with a couple lenses for wildlife and things that move and an olympus e-10 which i use for slower things that barely move or dont move I also use a HD 3ccd JVC EVERIO which records direct to a hard drive and takes single shots of HD video which are editable frame by frame
First 2 E-10 next E-500 last Jvc Still

I used Maxxums for years loved them didnt like their digital went to the cameras above a little pricey but comparable to the old Maxxums they have a ton of do it your self features which I love. I found the eagle shot last summer canoeing down a stream in UP of Michigan He just sat there and watched us, god was he big and spectucular Thought you might enjoy it

I loved my film Maxxums, and that's why I stuck with them.... had a big investment in lenses that I didn't want to give up.

Thanks for posting the eagle shot. He's just magnificent. I once went on an eagle watching float trip on the Skagit River in Washington. Came home with the most disappointing shots. I'm glad the eagles are coming back here in Florida. There's hope for me to get a decent shot yet.

    There's this one:

but unfortunately, this wasn't shot in the wild. I shot it through chicken wire at a place where permanently injured birds and animals are kept safe and protected.

All of your posted shots are really great!! Thanks for sharing them.
