The galeandra are related to cymbidiums..but grow kind of like the catasetinae.
I have galeandra batemanii and greenwoodiana, but I don't have the species you mention. These two are easy to grow...when they sprout new leads in the Spring, give them lots of cattleya type (bright) light and don't let them get too dry. They will bloom in late summer/fall and then go dormant for several months when they don't require but a little water to make happy.
Fun to grow with very unusual flowers. I have a picture somewhere if you want to see it.
