    Default New buds?

I noticed these new growths the other day. As you can see they are at the base of an old spike with just one bloom remaining and one yet to open. The plant also has three new pb's starting. Is this normal for this species? The last two years it has bloomed 'normally'.

Hey Steve! I'm no expert BUT...it looks like the pbulb might be growing another pbulb from the top of it. I have a cochleata that did the very same thing and I initially thought it was a freak of nature but found out while it doesn't happen all the often...it's not totally uncommon.

I agree, but time will tell. At least it is happy!

    Cheers,
