Default Phrag. Barbara LeAnn (besseae x ficheri)

This phrag is a survivor. I am almost embarrassed to post it as it is such a small bloom. This bloom is about one inch across. Very small for this small orchid. (The photo makes it look normal sized, but it is tiny) I thought it was cute. Seeing it mixed in with my other phrags, well, it is laughable. I could sit this bloom inside the pouch of my grande. heheheh...

LOL. the problem is - is that the plant is huge! It is in an 8 inch pot. The bloom just turned out tiny. lol.

Yes. It is also a walker. It tries to move out of its own pot as it grows. Instead of growing up, it grows out. The bloom in the photo is on part of the plant that sticks out into the isle between the benches.

Well -- it is cute. Even if it is a bit on the small side. Cute and adorable--squeeze its cheeks.

Can I guess where you got this baby since its name is "Barbara Ann"? That sounds pretty familiar. (or at least who the hybridizer was . . .)

LOL. It is funny to think about it, actually. I got this one before I was a member of the orchid society or even knew the hybridizer. We had it shipped over from Hawaii. I have since got two or three more here in Arkansas from various meetings at the orchid society direct from the man.

    Cheers,
    BD
