I aborted the Mem Helen Brown cross and will make it again next year...I was cleaning up the plant and when I peeled back the papery sheaths off the old p-bulbs, I found a bad case of scale. This Helen Brown is a division of the original awarded plant and too valuable to risk stressing the plant more with the pod. I toothbrushed off all of the scale and oiled the plant...will treat again in 10 days.
