Default Phragmipedium lindenii in bud >PHOTO<

Just wanted to share a picture of my Phrag lindenii in bud. Phrag lindenii is naturally peloric and is the only slipper orchid without the pouch and has a long petal instead of the pouch. It is one of my favorite long petalled Phrag species. I'll post another photo or two when the buds are all open. I think spike/buds are pretty too. Thanks for looking!

That's a gorgeous plant, Peter. I've never seen a lindenii in bloom. Looking forward to those pics! I don't know if I'll ever come close to your photography....

    Thanks!

I have seen them in bloom but not on my own plant. It is a first time bloomer for me and I'm quite excited about it.

It was a small plant when it first arrived here about two years ago from Whippoorwil Orchids. They are also located in Arkansas, so I'm sure you have heard of them. I have bought a couple of species from him and the plants were excellent and just a couple of weeks ago, Tom Larkin sent me their updated catalog in the mail.

LOL! Of course I've heard of Whippoorwil. Tom is an awesome grower, a wealth of information, plus he and Barb are super nice people.

Duh. We have an OSO meeting this Sunday: I'll have to ask him some recommendations for species flask wholesalers.

    Sometimes, my amazes even me....

I have never met them but they always have been very helpful and professional and their plants are always of excellent quality.
