I just want to share what my current orchid growing update,It's December and I only have two vandas in bloom. That's why I envy all those nice photos posted in this forum. well it is all because I keep on buying orchids while their young. I buy seedlings, cuttings and even newly divided sections of the orchid. They are a lot cheaper and affordable for me.So whenever I have a new orchid ,I have to repot it and wait for so long for it to bloom. I even have a 1 year old V.sandenaria ( 3 more years to come). Oh well , even so, it's a challenge that I have to face and hope that they'll bloom sooner.

I also do the same and buy little baby Paphs... in fact the last purchases were even smaller, ie flasks!!!
Part of the excitement is seeing these babies grow up and when they finally bloom after what seems like such a long time, the feeling I get is of achievement... and relief ...
Congratulations on the two Vandas you have in bloom... which ones are they? Hybrids or species?
Sounds reasonable to me. You could reward yourself every - once - in - awhile with a blooming plant purchase. That helps pass the time while waiting on your babies to grow and bloom.
Cheers,
BD
Dennis, can you post pictures?
