thanks for sharing your insects ron, i love them all, and yes, praying mantis' creeps me
out. the other day while i was moving around some pots i noticed that there was
something dangling in front of me and when i looked at it, it was a praying mantis and i
screamed like a... ahem... i stepped away. the wife was making fun of me. heck i
almost fed it to my nepenthes, its just that i can't muster enough courage to catch it.
The other day i found a big fat leech on one of my pots so i took it off and fed it to my
    nepenthes.

my garden is not really insect friendly, since i've got carnivorous plants around. and we
have frogs especially now that its been raining, sometimes i see some caterpillars too
so i let them be but then the birds eats them.

I've always wanted to have a leaf insect for a pet, i saw one at the zoo in subic, and i
loved it but the wife wont let me have one. bummer.

    hi darren,
in a way he does, always around and becomes active at sundown.
he eats mostly cockroaches, but hope he gets some hoppers too, coz lately they chew on my fresh roots, grrrrrr.

I have enjoyed all the pics of the butterflies, frogs....etc. Great job on all of them. The first butterfly is so beautiful... You make me want to go out back and take some. We have dragonflies everywhere right now. It's just hard to get them sitting down. You seem good at it though....

    hi darren,
im good here! i know what you mean, but i havent found the right animal to hunt for snails though. lol

    @connie,
thanks, it needs a lot of patience and luck to shoot those, but evening is often a good time, butterflies looking for a shelter and frogs come alive.
i think a garden wouldnt be complete without our pets...
