Hi
It is an epiphytic plant, with pseudobulbos oblong, conical.
Without leaves during the flowering season .
The inflorescence emerges from almost half the pseudobulbo.
Flowers in February and is distributed from Mexico to Nicaragua and part of South América at an altitude of 450-720 meters. It is not common.... is rare ...
The color begins to change with the arrival of that green visitor and pollinator.
It was the visitors ......
The plant gave capsules with many seeds last year. Hope this time gives more

Hope could grow.....
This orchid your can be grown in greenhouse
Muchas gracias. Hope that the bee is done their work well and the plant produces seeds.
Last year we gave several capsules. When they were dried, I placed the seeds in the forest in areas of Mycorrhiza.
I do also with other orchid seeds.
beautiful pictures... i particularly enjoyed seeing the pollinating bee at work.
great to hear you are trying to re-populate the forest with this orchid... good luck.
Great efforts on spreading the orchid seed back to the forest. Bravo. This is a pretty green bloom. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
BD
Hi Bench
Thanks you for your comment .
Of so many bees, bumblebees, hummingbirds and butterflies that come to my garden , appears that only these green friends love these flowers. As I have observed, are the only pollinators.
Yes, thanks you
Thousands of seeds... germinate only a few, but nothing is worse for the forest.
I always try to maintain the ecological balance, species are not competing and can survive there.
Great ecological work!! And very nice plant!

The pollinating insect is as colorful as the flower! Both are spectacular. Another impressive set of photos, Ana.
