Not sure what happened; just kept loosing leaves one by one. I feel the itch to replace it. I buy on line or go to a local place in Ottsville, Pa, about a 10 minute drive from my home. It's really too close. With credit card in hand there is no stopping me!

Yes, I love the color too. Enjoy your climate. It gets very cold here in the winter. My orchids can go outside in the summe for about 4 months.

Very lovely!!! WOw!! I don't think I can do vandas here in my apartment; though people have told me that they bloom vandas in bright windows with no problem, so who knows! I already killed one though, so I'm hesitant...

Stevied and culanluasg your vanda are beautiful! Becky, try a mini vanda like Darwinara Charm 'Blue Star' or Ascocentrum garayi. Both have been very happy bloomers for me, especially the blue Darwinara - it blooms 2 - 3 times a year. It smells nice too! Love those vanda types - no medium to break down.

Yes, tough to grow a vanda in an apartment. They require consant humidity. I do want to try a Darwiara or Ascocentrum if I can remember those names!
