Default Phal leaf and flower problem

I hav enoticed that the lowest leaves on my zuma's Pixie have lurned a light yellow- i grow them in a west facing window-am i doing anything wrong? none of my other phals have had this problem.

Also, the newest edition to my collection (of three), my Dragon's Charm, the flowers and buds have started to wilt, and the flowers have become limp. Any ideas or suggestions?

Both are grown in a west-facing window

If you bought the Dragons Charm in bud it could be bud blast caused by change in environment at your house from the store or from the time it spent outside, changes in temp caused one of mine to get bud blast and I lost all but two blooms, my Phals also seem to periodically lose there oldest leaves they turn yellow and drop, I would guess so long as the rest of the plant is healthy it shouldnt be too much of a worry but someone more experienced with both can tell you more, just thought id try tell you what has happened with mine.

I've read that the lower leaves will turn yellow and fall off when there's new leaves on top. Apparently, that's perfectly normal, but I'm sure one of our esteemed and knowlegeable friends here will correct me if I'm wrong. As for the limp buds and flowers, I can't say, since I'm so new at this. Mine did that, but that was because the spike was just shoved into the pot to make the plant look better. The plant itself, and the other spike look healthy and happy thankfully.

    Good luck!!

sherwood, do you have a sheer curtain between the west window and your phals? If not, can you find an EAST window for them, or move them back from any direct light coming in the west window.
