    Default Dendrobium christyanum (syn margaritaceum)

very similar to dendro bellatulum (luckily easier to grow) needs a cold and dry rest during winter, flower in summer, very fragrant, keep it in full shade.

    Hi,
yes becky15349 it is a species very fragrant and not difficult to grow if you can provide a cold winter rest, it is really easier then bellatulum.

Fabrizio, you have posted some beautiful orchids. Thanks for sharing them with us and for the information on how to grow them. On this one, when you say a 'cold winter rest' how cold is cold? Near freezing? Would mid 40's F be cool enough? Oh, and would you put this one under the bench after it finished growing and blooming for the season for its rest?

    Thanks!

    Cheers,
    BD
