Hey Raul,
Looks like you've added more plants as I can see the new plants hanging. Looks Great!
Although I must say that personally I think the hanging semi-terete vandas may perform and grow better if you mount them on the driftwood or some piece of similar wood/branch. I used to grow a lot of semi terete before in my old ancestral house and noticed semi-terete perform better mounted to driftwood (here in the Philippines). It seems the plants can suck up nutrients continuously from the wood. I suggest you use "madre de cacao" trunks instead of the common "kakawati" type since they last longer and are more resistance to wood borer insects.
wow raul, you've got quite a collection of vandas, and you have a very big grow area,
im jealous coz i only have a limited space to grow my plants. thanks for sharing your
garden with us.
hi guys thanks for the comments, been busy lately transfering some vandas , still have lots of babies at the back waiting to be transfered, i hope you enjoy them.
hi jojo , most of my vandas are on driftwoods, but decided to try the hanging type coz of space, i want to move freely , im just experementing if the hanging types will bloom same or better as in driftwoods , mounted vandas on driftwoods really blooms a lot coz of the added nutrients they get in the woods, the concept of the hanging vandas is easy maintenance and roots will have lots of air to breath-in , i will have to pump more on this hanging vandas, and see what will happen, wish me luck !
