    Default Our Rain Barrel

I have wanted a rain barrel for a while and recently we got one. Mr Hicks installed it after I painted it last week, hoping that maybe we would get some rain. Last night we got 1/4 of an inch and it filled the 55 gal barrel. Now I think I need another one.

BRAVO! I am a little jealous about the rain… But hey, you did a great job with the painting! Hope it's always full!

Do you plan to use the water for your orchids? It is surprising how much water comes off of a roof. Good for you!!

The painting of the barrel is great too!

    Cheers,

Neat painting idea...and obviously not too hard. Looks like something even my OH could handle! A couple stencils...some nice paints...Hmmmm. Sounds like a "honey-do-list" kinda job.

I am going to share the rain water with all of my plants and the birds too. They seem to sense that there is fresh water in the baths and jump right in sometimes while I am very close.

It is actually several stamps not stencils. Much easier on a round object.

I am so envious. I have been wanting a rain barrel for awhile now, but can't seem to make it happen. And I LOVE your decoration. It is lovely!

Painting your rain barrel makes it more than a rain barrel. It's an amazing art work!!!!!!!!!!! Great idea.
