There HERE!!!! I think there okay...I am about to pot them up and will post pics...there are so many its insane! I don't think I will be able to grow the teeny weeny ones but I will give them a chance.
Shann~
Shann, I'm so glad they got there safe and sound.
Okay it’s all done! WHEW!
Here are the pics from beginning to end of my new Lc. Gold Digger X Enc. ochrantha seedlings!!
Coir Medium:
Bath for seedlings with a small amount of fungicide and some sugar:
The Flask!!
I taped it up to prevent glass from going all over when I shatter the bottle:
One hit and the bottom cracked right off:
Plop into the bath:
With some gloves on I gently separated them in the bath:
Here they are from large to small starting with two XL seedlings:
The large to medium group:
The small guys:
The really really small guys who may not survive:
It was too messy to take pics after this so all I have for you is the final result:
Most have styrofoam in the bottom except the larger two which have a bark seedling mix.
I water and misted them afterwards and now I am going to relax because I have a headache...lol.
Shann~
Wow.. I'm impressed.
They look really healthy too. Here's to a bazillion successful new plants!!
I was surprised how many were in there. There were at least 24 medium to large size plants and another 8 or so small that I put in a clay compot. The last two on the right probably have another 30-40 tiny plants that I doubt many will make it, but I want to at least give them a chance.
Finally getting my headache under control too...that project took me awhile.
Shann~
Nice work, Shann. I know how long that takes. I appreciate you taking photos to share with us of your process. Best of luck to you and great success with these. I look forward to seeing photos of them when they are blooming.
Cheers,
BD
You had so many seedlings in that flask!!!
And the larger ones are so big and healthy, I bet you won't have to wait many years before they bloom ...
(just a couple of years ... )
Shann, I am so happy it's all good!!! They look great! And the big ones look like almost mature plants! Wishing you many blooms from all this guys!
