    Lightbulb Some Changes to our Home Page

    Hi folks,

    I am in the process of making some changes to our home (lobby) page here at OrchidTalk. I have been working on a new design layout that utilizes and dresses the space better. I will be implementing the changes over the next few hours. It will take some time, but I feel all of our current members and our guests will really appreciate the faster loading page, text, and graphics.

    I have already updated the main logo and header section of our community. You probably have not noticed since it takes a hard refresh to reset the css in your browser. If you would like to see the first change, simply hold down the shift key on your keyboard and click on your refresh/reload button in your browser. When this page reloads, the header image will be a bit smaller and will load faster. It will also be stored into your browser so you only have to load it one time during your visit here at OrchidTalk.

    Bruce, the HOME page looks great and I have a full screen, its too wide for me to view unless I scroll across, no great problem there. It must be for a much wider monitor than I have. BUT I still have a huge gap between the banner with forum, Google ads & Welcome down to the post in the forum I am viewing. I did what you suggested some time ago and cleared all cookies and memory of this site then revisited and logged in but no change. As I said, now there is no problem with the home page just the forum pages.

    Bruce it's looking nice and new.

    One thing I noticed was that the drop boxes on the root page don't seem to work, the links without drop boxes work fine. The drop boxes work fine once I'm in a post or in the thread categories section.
