    Default My Betta Fish.

    I went to local tropical fish store today and bought myself two beautiful Betta fish, i got some shot when they was in action. "crouching tiger & hidden dragon"

    How cute!! We have one that looks like the red one and we call him Bubbles because he makes bubble nest all the time

    Thanks Marissa, Yes ... I think when betta make their own bubbles net it mean they ready to mate with female betta

    Beautiful, I had one of these guys years ago but I kept it in a cold water tank and It didnt do well I think it got fin rot finally and passed away, I would love to try again if we get a tropical tank again they really are beautiful little guys. At the moment we have two orandas.

    Cute bettas!! I always had one or two of these guys when I was younger...would have one now but have hamsters instead! Bettas have the prettiest colors!!!

    Thankyou guys ...

    Hi carrie, bettas like temp 70-80 ... don't use cold water they get shock and die, betta don't really need filter just kept it in 1 gal to 5 gal tank .. he will be happy.

    Those are great, Darren. I need to get another one sometime. I have a huge tank full of plants and no fish ... lol I just hate seeing them for sell in stores all stacked on a shelf in those little plastic containers.

    I agree, I have mine in a small (1gal.) tank in our living room. I use tap water and just add conditioner each time I change the water. What I do is put the fresh water next to it's tank for about an hour so the old and new water will have the same temps.

    Thanks Bruce, you should get one ...Thai betta, they have variety of color, if you could find halfmoon betta it's more pretty than the one i show on this thread. It's look something like this...
