Congrats!
The roots on that one look great. It takes us all a little while to master watering ...You'll get it. Hang in there!

Around June 10th I said goodbye to my last orchid. A noid phal that was a valentines day gift. I made a dumb mistake in its care and realized it too late.
I decided I would take a break from my killing spree. Till around the 4th of July when I saw a couple tables of phals on sale at the local grocery store. They always have a few there & at a higher price. But 2 freshly set up tables at 9.99....
Even though it only had a few flowers and bent spike this one stood out among the majority of white phals with bright green leaves. My camera wouldn't capture the true color of the flowers, turned out too pink. I really like the dark stem and the color variation in the leaves. The roots are long and healthy. I have not had an orchid with roots like this before.
This one started out in my bedroom but I have to cat proof the area so I moved it to the living room. It seems to be doing really well there. The temperature is more even and it doesn't receive as much sun. So I think I will leave it there & find another that is better suited for my room.
It's just your average noid but it's also a new start

I think it is beautiful.

Amazing roots on your new phal. Good luck with it!!
Cheers,
BD
Such a pretty color!
Thank you for the compliments. I think I will keep it in the plastic pot for awhile. I like being able to see the roots. And it's easier to tell when it needs watered. I don't want to mess to much with this one. It's easy to go overboard with the care.
