    Default grammatophyllum but which one?!

    I have purchased so many orchids without tags for different reasons I have also purchased quite a few with wrong tag, but this is the first time I got orchid with two tags... as you can see I have no idea what I have- gramm speciosum, or gramm wallissi... Until today I tought is speciosum but I foud the second tag...

    hi margarita,
    i think you better wait for nelson here, since he has both, but i guess they look similar so you really have to wait for the bloom.
    just be prepared as either of em grow massive, they can reach over 100 pounds, that is over years of course.

    so, start your plans of a new greenhouse now, lol.

    Thanks, Ron! I wanted one soooooo much and I was so excited when I got it...now I will be waiting for a bloom to see what it is I guess (hope it blooms soon...) It will grow outside and I hope will be happy... I googled them both and they do look very similar but I found one picture this thing was HUGE!

    give her space and tons of sunlight, should be fine! it was reported in the philippines that plants of several 100 pounds were found, wanna see yours bigger!!!

    Can we have a photo of the whole plant? It looks too small to be G. wallissi or speciosum.

    Not really. I have not seen a speciosum or wallisii bloom that small. Maybe a few years more.

    Nelson, can you post here pictures of yours?-the whole plants, I was looking at the blooms yesterday. I just want to see how big they are... (and I tought I got a big one...LOL)

    The spike is more than 6 feet tall, and the stalk is more than that.
