I'm not quite sure how to go about this yet, as I'm new to this forum, but I would like to know what kind (scientific name) of Orchid that "Margo - senior member, has pictured next to her name in this forum...it's gorgeous and I would very much like to know more about it. Thank you!

I think it's the Ghost Orchid.
You might want to google the Ghost Orchid, and that way you can learn about it's native habitat here in Florida.
Also, basic info on Wikipedia, at:
Dendrophylax lindenii - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not an orchid for the faint of heart, that's for sure.
Thank you so much, you all were right, it is a Ghost Orchid. Extremley beautiful, but from what I'm reading, very complex to grow and get to bloom.
The other thing you may want to know is that when you want to know something of a more "personal" nature of another forum member, "left click" their name on a post and you can PM them directly or look them up under the "community" link at the top of the website.
Thanks Biker Doc, like I said, I'm new to this, so hadn't figured out how to PM yet. Thanks for the info!
Hi, Lizzybee! Yes, the orchid is the ghost orchid- Polyrrhiza lindenii. I see you already got info about it. It is one of my favorites also, but not easy to please... I have a little baby that doesn't seem to be doing anything since April (not a real ghost yet, but not a happy growing one either)... Likes high humidity, high temps, not much air movement (almost none). I am not an experienced grower and I am only hoping it will grow for me because I live where she is growing happy in the wild.
