    Default Spiranthes tuberosa - little ladies tresses

    Here is Spiranthes tuberosa the 'little ladies' tresses'. As you can see it looks very similar to Spiranthes lacera. One main difference is the noticeable difference in color. Lacera has a green center where tuberosa is pure white.

    These were in abundance today in all stages from tight little buds to completely bloomed out and with seed pods. It was really fun to identify them.

    We have pink lady slipper in the woods and we enjoy see them every spring. Thank you for showing your native orchid.
