I found this list of macro and micro nutrients that supposedly orchids need. Thought you could use it to check the content of your fertilizer.

    Macronutrients

Nitrogen (N) - leaf and stem growth
    Phosphorus (P) - flowering
Potassium (K) - general health, builds tissue
    Calcium (Ca) - cell activity
Sulfur (S) - works with nitrogen and phosphorus
    Magnesium (Mg) - food production

    Micronutrients -
    Iron (Fe)
    Manganese (Mn)
    Zinc (Zn)
    Copper (Cu)
    Boron (B)
    Molybdenum (Mo)
    Chlorine (Cl)

    Take care, Dana

    Question

Recently I read something that brings up another question about using distilled water. I read that using a "regular" orchid fertilizer in rain water or RO water can burn your orchids. Is this true for distilled water as well?

If so, how much should I dillute my "regular" orchid fertilizer so that I can use it in distilled water? The package says to use 1 teaspoon of fertilizer per gallon with every watering.

    Thanks! Dana
