    Default Oncidium spike (?)

This is my oncidium and I think(hope) that's a new spike. Though given my history with oncidiums it's probably just the latest and greatest in accordion leaves. What do you guys think?

Looks like a spike to me too. Don't get me started on accordion leaves. I repotted my oncs in S/H when I got them to ensure enough moisture but have recently moved them to sphag as they still grow the same accordion leaves. I'm trying to get over my fear of sphag which should be okay after being in the hobby for 2+ years now.

    Good luck with the spike.

Definitely a spike, for I had some experiences with Odontos and Miltoniopsis lately. And seems that you might have another one coming from the other pseudo bulb behind (If I'm reading properly between the leaves!) Congratulations
