That donation is a great idea. I know when I posted about this on facebook, someone added a phone number for the Red Cross, but I think it was through the American Red Cross. Could you perhaps post some info for us for the Philippine National Red Cross? Is there a website?

Thanks for that Ron, I hope his orchids are safe also on the farm, these updates finding people are safe and well is making me so happy, I hope everyone returns to normal very soon and that the rains forecast don't hit hard if at all.

My farm is 500 meters (1500 feet or so) above sea level, and a lot of nations would be submerged before they drown. Unless there is a landslide...or the Taal Volcano which can nicely viewed from the ridge 15 minutes away explodes, like a gigantic arse...(BD, you can edit if you wish).

The video footage on Youtube shows major flooding , cars being washed down roads like toys and people being washed down flooded rivers...terrible!

Last night I made a donation to the Philippine National Red Cross. They are responding full force to this disaster. Many are homeless. This is a way we can help support our Filipino friends

Thank you. Any reports about my demise have been greatly exaggerated. (I am kidding, of course). I am often in facebook, like walingwaling, the palefaced pinoy. I tell my workers that he ate a lot of gata (coconut milk) in Tacloban that is why he became whiter than almost all of us.

llate in the night yesterday ( 28/09 here and early morning in Philipinas-29/09) I knew about willingwilling and Ngerald. They're ok. but just after that my web connection was broken and I could not post. I'm really glad our members are safe.
