I close friend of mine has a large Rabbits-foot Fern. He will not let anyone take cuttings from it, not that I can blame him. It is a cracking specimen plant. I'll post some pics of it at the weekend.

That would be cool. I would like to see it.

I thought so but the tag says "white rabbitsfoot fern" and it is a different species.

I have one that I bought as a small fern in a 3 inch pot that is now quite large. I bought it about four years ago. It grows rather quickly and will drop fronds in cool weather though it will regrow them when the weather warms. Its a beautiful and easy plant to grow.

Edit: Mine is actually Davallia trichamanoides. It looks very similar to Davallia fejeensis.

I was just guessing on the Davallia fejeensis. It's what came up when I googled Rabbit's Foot Fern. I'll have to double check if there is a sticker on it that gives the full name. Mine is thinning pretty quick but maybe that is due to the cooler weather. I got it within the last few months. It's in a plastic pot, the same one it came in.
So how is everyone else taking care of theirs? Feel free to post pics

    My tag says Humata tyermannii.

It is in a clay pot in media that is probably a bit too light and I never let it dry out. It is bushy right now but lost most of its leaves in the cool back bathroom over last winter.

    Default rabbits foot photo

Here is a photo of my friends Rabbits foot Fern. I realised afterward there is no scale. It stands about 4 feet high. Like other peoples it is not at its best at the moment, because of the cooler weather.

Wow that is pretty nice even if it's not at it's best. Thanks everyone.
