Exclamation ORSV Virus - Warning to New Growers !

Since I have joined in 2008. There have been a few posts about ORSV Virus. As a new grower at the time, I didn't think that it was something that I really didn't need to worry about. Starting to collect orchids is like eating chips, you just don't stop with one. There is a article in the RVO library about viruses that every new grower needs to read. I know that I wish that I was more aware of this sooner. Some of the things that I have been doing weren't correct. We all have a lot of learning to do about growing these wonderful plants. You might say,"Well I only have a few plants now". Wait a couple of years and see how many you have and how many you have lost because we did follow good cultural habits. Smokers beware not only do you cause health issues for your self, you also put your orchid at risk also. And yes, I fall into this category. This article is a must read for all growers. Have Fun,Rich

The AOS actually published Louis's article in their Orchids Magazine.
