Default Arundina graminifolia -- Bamboo Orchid

I got this about 2-3 weeks ago, its already in bloom.... but it blooms
sequentially. The bloom doesn't last long, only for 2-3 days, after that another
    one is ready to open.

Anyways, i was told this is the dwarf form.

That's a nice form of Arundina graminifolia,Randy. This orchid is very common in Peninsular Malaysia and throughout South-east Asia and grows from the lowlands to about 2000m altitude. One will be able to see hordes of this orchid, with their very attractive, cattleya-like flowers, on the embankments and cuttings by the roadside on any drive up to the hill stations in Malaysia.
They are grown in many gardens right out in the open, exposed to the sun.
The one you have is most probably a lowland type. I am trying to grow one in my garden. Hope it adapts to the lowland conditions. A friend of mine has a clump growing in his garden and he has blooms non-stop the whole year round.

thanks glad you liked it. Actually I was hoping I'd get the one that grows up to 2m high,
but i was told that it wont do well in the lowlands. Im growing this outdoors exposed to
    full sun from 9am-5pm.

    thanks for looking.

    hi randy,
i didnt know there was a dwarf form, but nice! colors seems a bit more lighter than usual.
i think you should try the longer variety, mine is doing fine, just no blooms yet...
