Very nice. I just got one of these and I love it. The red striping in the dorsal sepal is great. Yours looks well grown.

When it comes to orchids round and flat is good, but there are exceptions. This is my very favorite Paph-Paph. fairrieanum. I love the three dimensional sculptural qualities of this species. I got this lovely lady as a souvenir on a trip to Hawaii for the holidays last year. She was in bloom then and was selected because of her vigor and has not disappointed-she has another growth about blooming size and three new growths coming. This flower is a little bigger than last year (her first blooming) and form is also a little better.

She's a beaut Susan Very lovely bloom for sure.
Beautiful ! This one has been on my wish list for quite some time now !
Very pretty Susan, I wish I can grow here but......oh. only dream.
My favorite. I always look forward to mine blooming.
I agree with you Susan.... flat is nice but depth has character and this is a great flower.... as Jeff said, can't wait til mine bloom again!
Always a favorite of min as well, Susan. Beautifully bloomed!

gotta love fairrieanum. I don't think round and flat is as important in species as it is in hybrids.
I'd go one step further and say even hybrids don't always need to be round & flat--at the rate the trends are going, we're gonna start having trouble telling paphs from phals or catts! I exaggerate a little, but...
At any rate, this is a great bloom and photo. I really like it!
Cheers,
Rob
