When I was in Hawaii, I was introduced to this orchid by a friend of a friend that was growing it on her Lanai. Maybe my memory is not right, but I remember it as being about six inches around with scads of flowers. It was spectacular - at least in my memory. I haven't been able to get mine to produce any additional growths, although it has bloomed off the same growth a couple of times.
