This very large blossom cattleya is a frequent bloomer (3 times in the last year) about 5 inches (wrong: 7 inches is correct!) in diameter, and gets to a deep canary yellow after a few days plus lasts up to 3 weeks! Would love to know it's name if any of you have a clue. Thanks!
Cheers, Michael

That looks like Blc Haadyai Delight, one of the best yellow catts from Thailand. Incidentally the cross was made by a friend of mine Dr Prachayakul of Haadyai. There are a few varieties of this cross, all of which are outstanding specimens.
Oh I do like this one. I hope it's available outside of Thailand
Beautiful flower. Amazing lip. Love it what ever it is.
Lovely I want one !! Blooming 3 times a year, awesome !
Yes, and I just re-measured... the diameter is in fact 7 inches not 5!!! Incredible!
Congrats Michael. 7 ins flowers are huge: they are normally 6 ins. A well-grown mature plant will give 3 blooms ( see my first posting 09-18-2009.
I have now 6 divisions of Haadyai Delight and 1 month ago one of the divisions flowered. Here is a picture of it. Yours seem to have more veinations in the lip.
I think that Blc Haadyai Delight is available everywhere now. I saw some awesome specimens in the posts from our members in Vietnam.
No one should have an unnamed Catt in their collection. Please send it to me.
Love this one! Love anything yellow. On my list for sure!
