That is a beautiful lady slipper orchid! Congradulations on growing it for yrs. and getting it to bloom so nicely. I'm impressed! Betty in Texas

This is my first blooming on my haynaldianum. It just openned and I hope that the petals don't get twisty, so far so good. I bought it as a large seedling a few years ago.
I think my camera might be making the pouch appear slightly deeper than it really is. I did do what i could with color correcting. But trying to fix the pouch with a photo editor would mess up the color balance of my whole photograph. Maybe if I desaturate the photo it would be more accurate? I do think this flower has good colour though
thanks for looking

Very nice, Fren. An elegant bloom presented in an amazing photograph.
Cheers,

You have a good form haynaldianum. Nice growing!
outstanding color on this one. most haynaldianum are more drab than lowii but yours is most definitely not!
Nice. I agree with Jason.
Thanks!
I thought the color was good too. The dorsal got a bit more reflexed now though, but the petals looks more graceful now.
How many flowers as the maximum for 1 spike?
