Default 7898 Phrag Super Grande (longifolium'Pink x warscewiczianum)

Today i went to a local nursery to get some pots and of course i couldnt stop myself from going to the orchid section and i bought another one lol. I got a prag but i googled the name and couldnt find any info on it. Can anyone help me plz. I know that they need about 2000-3000 footcandles and that they can handle a lil bit of morning light. I also know they like to be moist at all times and that the roots should not dry out between waters, but i would like to hear from you guys and see how you guys take care of this orchids =). Mine is not in bloom yet but it has like 3 new growth coming up and its in a really good shape!!!. I will be posting up pics tomorrow

Phrag Super Grande is a wonderful orchid!! It loves heat and a free draining medium. Water as you say, but do not let it sit in water. These get super tall and have such amazing blooms. One of my favorite phragmipediums. This orchid is not really one I would suggest to a beginner since it takes some special care, but you have it and now, if possible, we can help you get it to bloom. I love phrags because many are so showy, but they do take special patience and care. Good luck, Byron!!

    Cheers,
    BD
