It's been a few years since mine has bloomed but I believe I may have been erring on the side of caution with NOT enough water.
Mine did have a lemon/citrusy smell, Mary, but I think it was strongest on warm sunny days if memory serves.

This is the first bloom on this one. I got it 3 yrs ago, immediately divided it and gave half to a friend. Her half has bloomed consistently since then. I thought there was supposed to be a fragrance with this one, but I can't detect it. My friend says hers smells like lemon. I think I came up with the 'short end of the stick'.

This warm growing Cym has been on wishlist for a very long time, beautiful blooms, sorry about the scent, may be it will intensify after some days, it usually happens this way for some of my catts.
Beautiful! Been looking for one. Seeing yours reminds to intensify the search.
