With the new house, I had to come up with a new winter grow area. I have a garage with a large window that is going to be the new winter time set up for my orchids. I decided to go with supplemental lighting since it is a North-East exposure. I understand that with that exposure I would need supplemental lighting for my vanda and other "high light" plants. I am going to try the led panel because I read it would provide my plants with what they needed, was energy efficient...and I had enough points on my credit card to get two of these free. lol Does anyone else use the led lights? Mine is 28 watts and is supposed to be good for a 5 sq. ft area. I plan on putting them directly over the high light plants and put the lower light ones farther out. Will this be okay? I am a total newbie at lights....
