    Ferdi, to be honest with our lovely tropical conditions we are blessed ! I agree, I always thought Vandas and Cattleyas are difficult plants and in a sense I suppose they are with regard to their water and fertilising requirements..

    This is a really beautiful catt. I bought one more than 2 years from a nursery in the highlands where the temperature is much cooler. Though it grows very well in the lowlands every flower sheath has dried up. I think it needs cooler conditions than I can provide.

    Yew Sung, try doing an air conditioned greenhouse for your highland orchids! A friend of mine in Ipoh is doing it..his electricity bill is nuts though!

    Yew Sung, you could try an inverter..should save electricity, bump it on 24 C and there you go!
