Congrats Gabi. Waiting anxiously for the buds to open. Don't forget to share .
how cold does it get? i grow mine in temps far exceeding -3*C, sometimes to -15, with very heavy frosts. its a perennial basicly for me it dies down about now, and comes up in late sept. when the weather warms up. ive had mine a fair few years and it is MASSIVE! Hope i could help!
Here in Romania temps go down to -20 degrees Celsius, even lower, so I'm reluctant to grow it outside during winter.
well when it gets larger, split it into two and see how it goes. trial and error is the only way to do this sort of thing
Finally one flower opened today. It is not perfect, but still nice.
that is really nice! with any luck it should have a fair number of flowers on the spike, but being a younger/smaller plant, it may only have some anyway, its still good to see
What a lovely flower! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your replies. Jordan, it has 12 buds on 2 spikes.
Wonderful, really nice. I know that this plant can be grown here in the US midwest and our temps get to -20F.
awesome! 12 on two? not bad! mine finished back in september so its another long winter wait till they bloom again
