My oldest orchid is Eplc Don Herman 'Gold Rush'...bought as a small mistreated plant at a big-box store years ago. Took it several years to bloom, but it is one of my favorites. I'd have to guess...maybe 2001, 2003?

My first two orchids came from Hawaii about 5 years ago. They are a Oncidium Psychopsis Mendenhall and a Colmanara Catatante "Pacific Sunspots". They came in 3 inch pots and are in 6 inch pots now, so I have done something right. Now if I only knew what that something was! AL
Here she is last year. This year's blooming is getting past prime.

My first orchid is the native Aerides crispum collected from a fallen tree on 26th December 2004 the same day the disastrous tsunami struck south east asia. It has still not bloomed for me, but it has become one hell of a giant more than 30 inches tall and 3 Keikis. Some day !
