I finally purchased a Renanthera Monachia. I bought it through an online auction, it is so small. I understand (I hope corretly) that this plant is compact. I'm a little upset that there is a black spot on a leaf. *Hopefully* that is all it is, and doesn't turn out to be a fungal infection of any sort.
Anyone know about what time of year these flower?
Nice choice! The one we had a few years ago (before we gave it away as a gift) flowered in late spring and early summer. We grew it with the Oncidiums and a leaf occasionally got a brown spot if the sun got too strong on it before we switched to our summer shadecloth. As long as the spot doesn't get bigger you should be fine.
