I have some growing on a cedar stump I fixed to a base. Cedar works perfect for orchids when the bark is attached and we are surrounded by cedar. I also have dendrobiums mounted and hoping for blooms soon. All growth is strong. My largest phal had bloomed out awhile back so when it had dropped all blooms I cut the spike below the lowest bloom on the spike. It is about to rebloom from new growth on the same spike. He is so large he had to sit on top of stump to root to. As soon as I have the time I`ll upload pics from my mounting methods.
Good point Betty. It is always a good thing to step back and ask yourself "How would this plant be happy in it's natural home?'
