Friends to lunch tomorrow, so a request to renew the orchids in the house. I put together maybe 4 of my Miltoniopsis with a few foliage things, for the hall.
I used to have a lot of this genus, but when I downsized ( house, garden, greenhouses and orchids) a few years ago, I sold all that I had. Then about a year ago decided to collect some and start again ; so I have not had any of these for more than say 13 or 14 months. All were put into S/H as they arrived, and these at least have liked it and done well. The best is double or triple spiked on each lead.
The only pity is that nether of my yellows or whites is out , or out yet ( one is in the unfurling bud stage ; they would have lightened things up and helped separate the colours. But you can't have everything. Just enjoy what we do have.
PS some of them do have names ( mostly of places in the Channel Isles - those small islands near to France and having some odd relationship with UK - although they have their own parfliament and tax laws) which is where The Eric Youing Orchid Foundation hangs out - these are plants they bred but rejected as being sufficiently distinct for them to carry on breeding from. But Mtops names are a bit of a nonsense - you can find that pink , for example , or something virtually indistinguishable , under a hundred different hybrid names. So it don't matter - IMHO.
wow...just lovely!!
I'd love it if these would tolerate heat. They are just so pretty! Maybe one day i'll start an indoors cool room...
Vunderbar! I wish I could grow them but can't manage the cool humid conditions they desire.
Very beautiful and very inventively!
What a lovely display you have made.
I have been scouring the net trying to find some of these to buy over here in the U.S. I have two Miltonia Berries n Cream coming. I would so love every color of these
Thanks for a great picture.

Gorgeous, Geoff. What a display to greet your guests. Just love these pansy orchids but as you know, impossible to grow them where I live. Thanks for the picture.
