i have 2. i have them both in mini treefern pots. with some fern fiber and moss. the one i got as a mature bareroot single fan has established and loves this pot. it has rooted into it very well. i spritz in warm weather, and let stay dry when cold. it is very dry here, so i let the pot sit in a shallow saucer of water to soak it up when hot and dry, and it stays damp for days. but i suspect they catch water in between their succulent leaves. misting the plants too really helps. the other came in a clay pot like yours, but it had not done so well in the clay, so i have put it in treefern too. some charcoal, fern and moss. it is starting 2 new growths so i hope it might finally recover. i find these like weak fertlizing, unlike other oncids they do not get burned tips for me, but i have just begun to use home made worm tea.

Tolumnias are twig epiphytes. They grow on tiny branches where they dry very quickly. They almost seem like tiny vandas to me. Like vandas they like bright light, water often and dry very quickly. Mine are in small tree fern pots with no media. I water them almost every day in the summer but less in the winter. They don't seem to be very demanding.

I have mine in 2 and 3 inch clay pots with small lava rock. They seem to like it but lava is a pain when its time to repot. Good luck with this one!
