I know exactly what you mean when the roots are very long... there are a few trick you can do... first you can soak the roots so that it because pliable thus you have a chance of potting
it without damaging... if that fails.... get a pail, bore holes to it and then put it in wife hates me when I do this one.
waa? i want one of those

Hi all!
Me and my vanda would like to thank you all again for the tips and advices. The vanda now has healthy new fat roots and is in bloom!
Thanks for your suggestion. It's quite heartbreaking for me to cut the flowers off. But thinking it can help to the recovery of the plant more...hmm...ok will cut them off and put them on our altar.i would suggest to cut off the flowers so that the energy will go to the formation of roots and new growth.
goodluck and Congrats.
I got it from seedling bank but it was years ago. im looking for vanda sanderiana also.I love your Vanda, i want to have like this.
WEll done!! You must so happy...
It sometimes takes several minutes to fully water a vanda. I water and might have to go back several times.
You are looking for the root to change color, from silvery white to bright apple green. Then and only then are they sufficiently watered. If they are overly dry they might repel water instead of absorbing it.
Mabuhay!
@dukejenn.....i would suggest to cut off the flowers so that the energy will go to the formation of roots and new growth.
goodluck and Congrats.
