This is one of those orchids that makes me really happy because it was given to me in trade from Gin one year not too long ago. This is the first blooming of this division (at least that I remember seeing). It is the only orchid I have growing in semi-hydro at the moment. I moved my other plants (a phal or two) back into our bark mix as that seems to be the best for them under our growing conditions. This one though, seems to do really well like this. I finally got it in the right place so it gets enough light to bloom. I had it too far under my vandas and their roots blocked too much light. Now that it is moved over a bit - it has a bloom spike. Thanks Gin!!

Love Brassidium and this one is a beauty. Well done Bruce. That lip is so bright white. What an advertisement that would be for an insect in the evening hours......
