Lord of the Ring fans will know a giant spider when they see one , actually the flowers are not giant by the standard of say Brassia lawrenceana, although they are pretty large. ( not actually pretty , either - to split a hair. But maybe magnificent will do ? )
The plant is in aa six inch pot, so you can get a good idea - bulbs maybe 5 inches high .
Grown in S/H following a technque I developed some 15-20years ago when i was having culture problems after moving all my plants to a new address with vastly changed conditions. Curiously it didn't work very well when I moved house again 7 years ago, and it has taken me some time to get back to a similar standard.
