    Quick flowering? you must be kidding us! Orchids require patience. Im not sure when it comes to Rhyncostylis, but i think it could take about 5 years. It also looks like they are far too wet, but again, i have not had experience with any Vandas. If they are way to wet, let them dry for a few days before watering, but keep your regime strict. Seedlings dont adapt well to sudden changes.

    yes I think it will also take time, approximately 2 to 3 years, but I hope even more quickly, such as natural orchids orchids that I planted at Mount Merapi ...

    These ones you planted at Mt Merapi were not seedlings but young plants I assume? Seedlings can take a long time to adapt to their new surroundings in the big bad world, so dont be suprised if they dont show any signs of active growth for up to twelve months.

    yes indeed planted at Merapi not from seed, but my place is quite supportive climate for orchid planting .......

    Our rhynchostylis gigantea orchid was pretty large before it bloomed.

    Oh too cool! I love the rhynchostylis. In fact I keep buying them hoping i'll get one that likes me someday and blooms. I would love for you to update this every few months to let us see their progress. I have thought about buying a flask of Tampensis...alba and normal...and have someone climb my tree out front and put them on there. It's a great old tree and would look so great with it's own colony of native Tampensis. I recently obtained an Epi. Nocturnum for the same reason. It's native here and I would love to have it on it's own tree. Good luck with your baby orchids!

    More likely 3 - 5 years.
