    You should be able to find insecticidal soap for plants at most nurseries. I have been blessed not to have any mite problems, but I would think that the plant soap would work.

    I use a Neem oil spray. Neem is an oil from the Neem tree, so it's not hazardous to pets and people. PM me if you want an online source. It's good for most pests.
